A new chapter at Inde for Cloud and Modernisation expert Naveed Khan

Dunedin, 17 September 2026 –  Inde is pleased to announce that Naveed Khan has stepped into the role of Technical Director, Cloud and Modernisation, following two years with the business as Principal Hybrid and Private Cloud Architect. 

Naveed initially joined Inde in 2024 after spending eight years leading a team of engineers as Azure Practice Lead at CCL. Since then, his work as Principal Hybrid and Private Cloud Architect at Inde has focused on helping customers modernise and adopt Azure, from hybrid setups connecting on-premises infrastructure with the cloud through to full migrations. Alongside general design and implementation work, he's supported the wider team through the technical issues and troubleshooting that come with cloud and hybrid environments, keeping projects moving with minimal disruption.

In his new role as Technical Director, he'll co-lead the Cloud and Compute team alongside Chris Burke, while continuing the hands-on customer work that has defined his time at Inde so far.

"When this role opened up, it made sense to put my name in the mix," Naveed says. "The team already knows me and I know them, so there's no ramp-up time and no disruption to our clients, we can just keep moving. I was drawn to the idea of getting back into team leadership, being able to help streamline workflow for the team and contribute to innovation around future service offerings, that will benefit our clients.”

Looking ahead, Naveed wants to work with clients to move the focus toward genuine cloud modernisation rather than simple infrastructure moves.

"As Technical Director, I will continue to work directly with clients to understand their pain points and advise on the right technology to solve them. We don’t want to just shuffle deck chairs around so to speak, we want to get our customers genuinely using the cloud efficiently so that we are solving problems not just moving them around.”
