Hosted in partnership with Volunteering Canterbury and Christchurch Community House, this event will bring together leaders from across the sector to explore how artificial intelligence can be safely and effectively adopted by charities and not-for-profits.
Meet the Speakers
Rik Roberts, Chief Technology Officer, Inde
Rik Roberts is CTO and Co-Founder at Inde. With over 15 years of experience in IT strategy and architecture, Rik has helped organisations across Australasia and beyond implement secure, scalable technology solutions.
He is New Zealand’s only Citrix Technology Professional and holds multiple Microsoft certifications. Rik is known for his ability to bring clarity and structure to complex technical challenges. Rik will provide insight into practical strategies for implementing AI in a way that balances innovation with risk management.
Berys Amor, Chief Information Officer, Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu
Berys Amor brings more than 25 years of experience in the technology sector, including senior roles in top-tier law firms and large-scale infrastructure projects. As CIO of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu, she leads strategic technology initiatives that support organisational transformation and cultural values.
Her expertise spans project management, information security, and stakeholder engagement. Berys will share valuable insight on how charities can adopt AI in a way that aligns with their mission, supports change management, and protects community trust.
Stella Ward, Global Ambassador, Streamliners
Stella Ward is a nationally recognised leader in digital innovation and health sector transformation. At Streamliners, she has led the development of online platforms that support best practices in health, social care, and education across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.
Her previous roles include leading the All-of-Government Cloud Programme and serving as Chief Digital Officer for the Canterbury and West Coast District Health Boards. Stella’s deep expertise in digital strategy and governance brings a valuable perspective on the responsible integration of AI into community-focused organisations.
