Christchurch, New Zealand - 22 April 2026. Inde Technology today announces the appointment of Matthew Flatt as Technical Director Data, Intelligence & Architecture, further strengthening its capability in data-led transformation as demand for advanced analytics and AI-ready foundations accelerates.
Based in Christchurch, Flatt brings more than several years of experience leading data and analytics functions most recently at PGG Wrightson, where he progressed from Business Intelligence Analyst to leading data teams and shaping enterprise data strategy.
His expertise spans business intelligence, data platform architecture, and analytics strategy, with a strong focus on bridging the gap between technical delivery and business outcomes particularly when working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A strategic appointment to support client outcomes
Flatt said the opportunity to join Inde was driven by a strong alignment in values and a shared focus on delivering meaningful business impact.
“What stood out to me was Inde’s commitment to solving real business problems, not just delivering point solutions. There’s a clear focus on outcomes and a genuine investment in people, both internally and for clients.”
He added that the role offers a unique blend of leadership, strategy, and hands-on engagement.
“It’s a rare opportunity to combine people leadership, client engagement, and technical strategy in one role. That balance, along with the calibre of the team, made it an exciting next step.”

He highlighted a growing shift in how organisations interact with data.
“We’re seeing a move from a reporting culture to an ask questions culture, where businesses expect to interact with data more dynamically. To support that, organisations need strong, trustworthy data foundations and clear governance.”
Supporting Inde’s next phase of growth
Dave Veronese, Chief Executive Officer of Inde, said Flatt’s appointment reflects the company’s continued investment in building deep capability in data and AI.

As our clients look to better leverage their data and prepare for AI, having strong expertise in data foundations, governance, and architecture is critical. Matthew will play a key role in helping our clients unlock that value.”
Flatt’s appointment builds on Inde’s ongoing investment in its data, intelligence and architecture capabilities, complementing its broader strategic focus on helping clients modernise their technology environments and unlock new opportunities for growth.
