Auckland, New Zealand — 25 August, 2026. Inde Technology today announces the appointment of Marie Tamplin as General Manager of Sales, bringing more than 30 years of technology industry experience to lead the next phase of the company's commercial growth.

Currently based in Auckland, Marie began her career with Big Blue. Since then, she has held senior leadership roles across global and local technology brands including Deloitte, SAP and IBM and New Zealand's high-growth tech sector, including Jade Software Corporation. Most recently, Marie was a Senior Account Executive Government and Banking at ClearPoint, a privately held, New Zealand-owned full-service ICT professional services company.

Her experience spans sales leadership, commercial strategy and go-to-market execution, with a particular focus on the storytelling and customer relationships that turn technical capability into business outcomes.

A deliberate return to New Zealand's tech sector

Marie said stepping away from global corporate life to return to New Zealand's high-growth tech sector was a conscious choice, driven by the vibrancy of the industry and the pace of change reshaping it.

Marie says “The New Zealand Tech Sector is vibrant. We are innovative in this part of the world, and are good thinkers. We punch above our weight in international markets with innovation, we’re nimble and we can pivot easily and quickly. So the New Zealand Tech Sector is where it’s at for me.”

But she notes that technology is at the precipice of monumental change. “We're on the dawn of a new digital age. Businesses need help understanding what that means for them. That’s what drew me to Inde, they have the capability inside their organisation to help customers navigate this new era and what that means for licensing, technology stacks, cloud environments, security and more importantly, how to prosecute the opportunity of artificial intelligence for their business.”

She pointed to Inde's standing with their partners as a mark of the depth behind the company's technical capability and its partnerships. "Inde's a premium partner with Microsoft, with more specialisations here in New Zealand than any other brand. Pair that with a business that's employee-owned, and you get people who are genuinely invested in getting it right for customers, not just hitting a number. That's rare, and a part of why I’m excited to be working at Inde."

Sharpening Inde's sales engine

Leading a team of six, Marie's focus is on strengthening Inde's sales function to complement its technical strength.

Marie says: "It's about moving our sales team to the next level of commercial development, so we're match fit to help customers uncover the opportunities we're talking about, in data, AI, cybersecurity, wherever it shows up for them. When we get that right, our technical teams look at what we're doing and think, these guys really know their craft. And customers feel that too. They get a team that understands their business, tells their story properly, and looks after them the whole way through."

A significant step in Inde's growth story

Dave Veronese, Chief Executive Officer of Inde, said Tamplin's appointment reflects the company's ambition to build a commercial engine to match its technical capability.

"Marie brings a powerful combination of industry experience, commercial discipline and genuine passion for New Zealand's tech sector. As our clients look to navigate the opportunities in data, AI and cybersecurity, having a sales team that can have meaningful conversations that flow onto our technical team is critical."

Tamplin's appointment builds on Inde's continued investment in its leadership team as the company grows its footprint across New Zealand and Australia.
