About the role

The key purpose of the Licensing Specialist role is to provide exceptional service and expert advice to our customers, ensuring they effectively maintain their licensing needs and make the most of their existing investments. You will be working collaboratively with the Licensing Director and the wider Licensing and Procurement team to consistently create great outcomes for our customers by putting forward sound recommendations and proactively seeking opportunities for improvement.

You will be:

  • Providing support and guidance to customers, enabling them to make confident decisions about their licensing needs, and ensuring the potential value of their investments continues to be realised 
  • Helping customers make the most of, and manage spend on, various cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, private cloud providers)
  • Building and fostering effective partnerships with vendors and distributors in order to deliver value to customers
  • Creating opportunities for great customer outcomes through accurate and regular reporting on customer licensing needs and an awareness of upcoming renewal opportunities
  • Providing sound specialist advice to customers regarding their licensing needs, either through using their existing investments or exploring alternative solutions 
  • Championing the company values & vision and creating a positive culture

This is a permanent, full-time role. However, as flexibility is key at Inde, we are always looking for talented people to join us who may want the ability to work reduced hours. Let us know in your application if you are seeking part-time hours.

Inde has offices in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. We’re recruiting for this role in any of those locations, but we’re very much open to candidates with the ability to work from anywhere within New Zealand.

For the Licensing Specialist role, your capability will include:

  • Proven experience in a licensing role or similar role 
  • Expert knowledge of products and available licensing solutions including public cloud
  • The ability to build & maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Experience and achievement within the ICT sector
  • A passion for technology and a sound knowledge of trends within the IT industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of an organisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into layman’s terms
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • A keen eye for detail and an ability to produce a high standard of work
