You’ll be using your expertise to provide technical leadership to a team of specialists and design and deliver great outcomes for our customers.

Over the years Inde has built a reputation among our customers, for not simply delivering what they asked for, but for understanding the problem and designing solutions that lower a customer’s technology risk as a whole. We keep our systems simple and agile so that we are not constrained by processes and procedures.

We do not offer out of the box solutions. We offer a customer-focused, cross team approach to ensure we deliver the best possible solution to address the customer’s key problems. This requires someone who is comfortable with open discussions and who has the people skills to be able to work with a diverse customer base, as well as the technical skills and decision-making ability to be able to take their dreams and turn them into a technical reality.

At Inde we build small teams of specialists to ensure the successful delivery of industry-leading solutions for our customers. As architect for a team of enterprise network experts, you will be working alongside a director whose role is to provide the strategic and people leadership for the team. Your focus will be guiding the team on all things technical.

Our favourite technology is whatever works best for the client at the time but it is likely you will have certifications and experience is some of the following; routing (Cisco routers, Citrix and VeloCloud SD-WAN), switching (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper - enterprise campus and data centre), firewalling (FortiNet, Palo Alto, Cisco FTD), wireless (Aruba and Cisco campus wireless, cloud-based wireless management platforms), automation (Cloud management platforms, scripting and execution environments, consuming REST APIs), access control platforms (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass).

What we are looking for

We’re looking for humble, hungry and smart people to join us and help support the achievement of our vision.

You will have expert knowledge of relevant technologies and proven experience as a cloud architect in a technical leadership role.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.

This is a permanent, full-time role. However, we are always looking for talented people to join us who may want the ability to work reduced hours. Let us know in your application if you are seeking part-time hours.

Inde has offices in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin. We’re recruiting for this role in any of those locations, but we’re open to candidates who have the ability to work from anywhere within New Zealand.

What’s in it for you?

Flexibility is key at Inde. We offer a range of flexible working options, with the ability to work from home and the office in a supportive and collaborative work environment.

A share of the profits. Every role is valued at Inde; we recognise that everyone plays their part. It doesn’t matter whether you are in a leadership, technical, or support role; each quarter everyone receives a share of the company profits via our profit share scheme.

Continual learning. It's how we stay ahead of the curve. We are deliberately developmental, striving to get the best people and keep developing their skills so they stay the best. We take the approach of being a development house of IT professionals working towards a better future for our industry - we just happen to also sell IT services to fund that development. Everyone has their own personal development plan, and we ensure learning forms an essential part of your week. We invest heavily in upskilling our people by funding training, exams, and any resources needed to gain new certifications.

Autonomous decision making. Due to our considerable growth, we can’t claim to be a small start-up anymore. But there were many things about the start-up days we loved. No bureaucracy. Things happened quickly. If you had an idea, and it was a good one you could just make it happen. So, we created a way for our people to keep doing that. Ideas still need to be well thought out and you may need to consult with those who challenge you, but the ability to make a difference remains.

A competitive salary, a share of the profits, plus added benefits such as health insurance and additional leave. We have excellent office spaces in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin and hold regular social events and celebrations every quarter.
