About the team

Our workspace team designs solutions for enterprise customers that enable their end-users to work at any time and at any location, and we are looking for more engineers to join us. We are continuously re-defining the modern and future workspace with the aim of making workforces efficient, viable and productive. 

What the role involves

Our Workspace specialists work closely with our customers through project-led engagement and specialist support capabilities.  As a member of our specialist team, you will have the opportunity to work with a large variety of customers throughout Australasia in multiple industries, leading projects to help connect their people with the work that needs accomplished.  The modern workspace involves an array of different technologies, so you’ll be engaging with the customer and the wider Inde team to ensure that the power of the collective can deliver the best possible solution.  Alongside our Workspace Architects, you will help customers improve their productivity by improving access scenarios, optimizing management processes for maintenance, and improving performance of customer systems.

What we are looking for

You will need a passion for continuous improvement in modern computing to maintain a finger on the pulse of the fast-moving technologies in IT.  Always tinkering and learning, you are willing to give something a go. You will have strong critical thinking skills, previous experience in a systems administrator or engineering team, a solid understanding of networking and Windows operating system fundamentals, with a focus on end-user computing.  Prior experience with session-based computing solutions (e.g. Azure Virtual Desktop / Remote Desktop Services, Citrix Virtual Apps Desktops, VMware Horizon View) is preferred.  Similarly, an understanding of at least one application packaging/management or automation (e.g. MDT, SCCM, Intune, Terraform, DSC) is desirable.

(Other technologies where exposure or experience are not essential but would help you gain confidence quicker in the role include: Designing / administering Group policy for session-based computing environments, Azure MFA / Network Policy Server [NPS], Knowledge of PKI Certificates, Windows 10 or 11 administration, Microsoft Server 2008 R2 – 2022,  Thin clients [HP, Dell Wyse, IGEL], Networking concepts [DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, File and Print Services], Azure or AWS knowledge, Platform as a service. ESXi, Citrix Hypervisor [XenServer], Hyper-V, Scripting / automation [Powershell or similar languages], Software deployment tools such as MDT, SCCM, Intune, Infrastructure-as-code concepts or languages [Terraform, Ansible, DSC])

On top of this, you will be comfortable working in a client-focused role, possessing the ability to help customers make sense of complex problems.  We work closely together and believe in “the power of the collective” behind the Inde promise.  We are incredibly driven and are leaders in our field who love to pass our knowledge on to anyone we can.

We have roles available at different levels, depending on the technical experience you bring, but it is essential that you have the people and problem-solving skills to work in a consulting role directly with clients. Working in complex projects and environments, you will need to be able to capture requirements and translate them into high performing solutions.
