To support our next growth phase, we’re hiring a Senior Data Engineer located in Wellington to join our team of technical specialists and help transform some of New Zealand’s largest enterprises through innovative solutions.
You’ll help build cutting-edge data platforms that transform how clients use their data. As part of Inde’s Data Intelligence and Architecture team, you’ll design and implement advanced solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, Informatica and other technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead implementation of advanced data platforms for enterprise clients
Translate business requirements into technical solutions
Design and build data pipelines for ETL and ELT processes using Microsoft Synapse, Data Factory, other technologies
Communicate technical concepts clearly to clients
Mentor junior team members and support a culture of excellence
Innovate in metadata-driven frameworks and data ingestion

Significant experience in data engineering or senior BI development
Extensive experience designing and implementing advanced solutions using Microsoft Synapse and Data Factory
Proficient in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
Proven ability to take ambiguous requirements, develop a plan, and deliver complete solutions
Strong in data modelling, ETL, and data warehousing
Proficient in Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for deployment and testing
Experience in metadata-driven frameworks and advanced data ingestion techniques
Microsoft certifications (DP-203, DP-600, DP-700) valued
Informatica ETL development experience, particularly in data ingestion scenarios
Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud) beneficial
